Discover Switzerland, Austria, and More Through a Guest’s Eyes

First-time Odysseys guest Ellen Outten and returning guest Wayne Shaw recently completed our Alpine Splendor: Switzerland and Austria small group tour – and Ellen documented it all in a series of captivating posts on her blog, Traveling with Ellen.

Prologue: We’re Off Again – Another Adventure

Day 1: Monday, July 17 – Lots of Travel

Day 8: Monday, July 24 – Boat Ride on Lake Lugano and the Town of Morcote

The Torre Bianca – or “white tower” – of Castlegrande in the historic Swiss town of Bellinzona.

Day 9: Tuesday, July 25 – On the Road – Lugano to Liechtenstein to Austria

The Hofburg in Innsbruck – a former palace of the Hapsburg dynasty – is considered one of the three most significant cultural buildings in Austria.

Day 10: Wednesday, July 26 – Innsbruck

Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe – or the “Museum of Tyrolean Farms”– in Austrian Tyrol.

Day 11: Thursday, July 27 – Seefeld to Salzburg

This fountain – located just outside Mirabell Palace in Salzburg – was featured in the 1965 film The Sound of Music.

Day 12: Friday, July 28 – Salzburg and Sound of Music Tour
