Your select group of friends and family now has the opportunity to tour as a small private group on many of our journeys worldwide. Below, we answer a few questions you may have about our Private Departures.
Private Departure guest minimums vary from tour to tour (from 5 guests to 8 guests) and, as always, may go as high as 24.
The tours themselves do not differ at all – our Private Departures offer a complete Odysseys Unlimited tour experience, including all of the benefits that Odysseys travelers have come to know and appreciate: comprehensive included sightseeing; high-quality, well-located hotels; outstanding travel value; and, as always, a dedicated professional Odysseys Unlimited Tour Director who will be devoted to your small group.
Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to travel exclusively with your select group of family or friends.
For groups of 12 or more guests, the published catalog prices apply; for groups of less than 12 guests, there will be an additional per-person cost (typically $400 to $900, depending on the tour and number of travelers).
As with all Odysseys tours, deposits of $475 per person on your Private Departure are fully refundable up to 95 days prior to departure.
No – reserving a Private Departure enables you to travel on one of our tours as advertised with the traveling companions of your choice, but does not include the option to alter the itinerary, change hotels, add/subtract any inclusions, or join multiple tours together.
Yes, we are delighted to welcome children and grandchildren on a Private Departure. The minimum age requirement for children on our Private Departures is 10 years old.
