Featured Accommodation: Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra

One of the things that distinguishes our small group tours is the quality and variety of our accommodations. So we have decided to spotlight some of the interesting and beautiful places we stay on tour. We highlighted the Parador de Carmona first, and now we are showcasing the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra, where Odysseys groups have been staying since 2007 while at Angkor Wat on a variety of our Asia itineraries.

Sitting just 10 minutes from the gates of Angkor Wat, the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Resort offers a serene and luxurious stay. Amid landscaped gardens and elegant French and Khmer architecture, our guests can reflect across the lovely pond (above) or take a dip in the fabulous swimming pool (below).

The services and amenities at the hotel are second to none, and we particularly enjoy the location for our small groups: it's close enough to the ruins to make the journey there in mere minutes, but also offers easy access to the traditional markets and local attractions of Siem Reap. Plus, the scenery is hard to beat.
