Tour Director Profile: Laurent Pesneaud, France

Laurent Pesneaud landed on his future career as a tour director at a very young age. "As long ago as I can remember," he explains, "I found in my grandmother's attic souvenirs, uniforms, photos, and postcards from an old world and exotic countries. During one of these evenings, I decided that I would dedicate my life to travel."

And dedicated to travel he is. He describes his relationships with his guests as a two-way street, "Giving and receiving."

While on tour, Laurent will stop the bus in a small village and walk with his guests, and as he describes, "...give them the 'keys' to understand, appreciate, and love the people, their houses, the buildings that they made during several centuries, the everyday life of the inhabitants."

"Then we stop at the small cafe of the village, where I explain the menu - and all its secrets," continues Laurent. "Can you imagine a more pleasant occupation?"
