After an eventful year here at Odysseys Unlimited, we’re excited to sit back and take a walk down memory lane with 2025’s Year in Review. Below, you can scroll through photos and videos highlighting some of our favorite moments over the past 12 months, from both our employees and Odysseys guests. So, without further ado, we present to you: Our Year in Review.
We began 2025 with the announcement of two brand-new tours for 2026. The first: Journey through Greece, a sojourn across history and civilizations from Athens, the birthplace of democracy, to the plains of Macedonia, birthplace of Alexander the Great.
The second new tour: Majestic Switzerland, a scenic overload spanning from Italy’s Mediterranean-accented Lake District to Switzerland’s majestic Alps, with an abundance of jaw-dropping scenery, old-world villages, and renowned resort towns.
“After this trip I can honestly say that Odysseys handles everything brilliantly and this has to be the absolute best way to travel! Thank you again for an unforgettable experience!” – Dorothy T., User Experience Designer, Information Technology
Odysseys employees Dorothy T. (far right) and Caitlyn H. (second from right) shared some photos of the adventures they had on their Egypt & the Eternal Nile training trip (see more photos from this tour here). Above, they pose in front of Abu Simbel with their tour group.
Every year, our Worldwide Services team visits Odysseys Unlimited Tour Directors around the world in preparation for the upcoming tour year. This February in Italy , we were lucky enough to bring together one of the largest gatherings of Odysseys tour directors in history, pictured above!
Odysseys employees Stacey H. and Jillian M. returned from their Exploring Australia & New Zealand training trip with an abundance of excellent on-tour photos (including the above action shot of an iconic loggerhead sea turtle cruising above the Great Barrier Reef), which we featured on our blog.
On our YouTube channel, we shared this video of Odysseys 12-time guest Shelly Juber taking to the skies at the world-famous Kawarau Bridge Bungy, the world's first official bungy jump operation, located outside Queenstown, NZ.
India’s Holi, known as the “festival of colors,” took place in early March, and one of our Mystical India tour groups had the opportunity to take part in the holiday. They even got to dance with local celebrants! Click here to view on-tour videos taken by guests.
On our blog, we featured exclusive photos and a video of one of Southeast Asia Odyssey and Journey through Vietnam’s small group highlights: an interactive Vietnamese cooking class. See more – and try the recipes yourself! – in our blog post.

We learned about our guests’ favorite waterfalls on our Facebook page – and highlighted five of our own (including Seljalandsfoss in Iceland, pictured above) in our blog post.
George Omuya (third from left) made a splash as our featured tour director for April. Long-time tour director, safari guide, local expert, father, educator, and philanthropist, George wears many hats, and we are fortunate to have him leading our Classic Safari: Kenya & Tanzania small group tour. Learn more about George here.
A team of 29 Odysseys employees braved the rainy weather during Project Bread’s 57th annual Walk for Hunger, which we’ve participated in for the past 11 years. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, Odysseys raised $16,400 to help Project Bread make food more available to hungry families in Massachusetts. Our small group tours offer excellent photography opportunities, which many of our employees take full advantage of on their training trips. So, we collected a gallery of the best on-tour photography from our employees on our blog.
Norwegian Splendor was a family affair for Odysseys employee Lisa H., who invited her son Kyle to travel with her on tour.
“We had so many different experiences - from caves to art, to wine, to history - that I feel like I have a much greater understanding of France, its people, and its history. … I am completely blown away by my travel experience with Odysseys! This trip changed me as a person in some way. It was so immersive, educational, and fun.” – Irina B., Development Manager, Information Technology
Odyssey employees Irina B. (front right) and Dorothy S. (back right) enjoyed getting to know fellow travelers in their tour group while on their Provincial French Countryside training trip.
This safari tour primer became the perfect tool to help guests choose their ideal Odysseys small group tour to the African bush. September began with the return of six-time Odysseys traveler Kathy Young (right), who we featured on our blog (for the third time!) to chat about her recent travels. Click here to read the interview.
We added a brand-new destination to our Southeast Asia Odyssey small group tour starting in Fall 2026: Chiang Mai, Thailand (pictured above). But that’s not all – we also announced that West Africa Discovery has a new stop in 2026: Cotonou, Benin’s largest city.

In the first week of November, the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo unveiled the full contents of King Tutankhamun’s tomb. We celebrated #WeekOfThanks with our Facebook followers, who chimed in with gratitude towards their favorite Odysseys Tour Directors, travel companions, and more.

Finally, we closed out 2025 with our annual holiday party, where our employees gathered to enjoy food, fun, and, of course, each other!
